We recently received vegan certification from Vegan Action for most of our product line.
In practical terms, this confirms that our bags are made without animal-derived materials and use vegan, biodegradable components. It’s something we’ve been aligned with for a while, but now it’s verified by an independent standard.
What’s Included
The certification applies across nearly all of our categories, including tote bags, drawstring styles, and specialty bags like wine, shoe, laundry, and cosmetic bags.
The only exception is our non-woven category, which isn’t part of this certification.
Why This Matters
For the businesses we work with, this makes things simpler. If you’re listing products, building a catalog, or selling to customers who care about material sourcing, you now have a clear, credible claim you can stand behind.
It removes ambiguity. There’s no need to qualify or explain it, the certification does that work for you.
How This Fits Into Our Approach
Since starting TBF in 2013, our focus has been on making products that are both practical and scalable. That means keeping inventory ready to ship, maintaining consistency across production, and designing bags that hold up in real-world use, especially for printing and decoration.
Every detail, from fabric selection to construction, is considered with that in mind. These aren’t just bags that look good in theory, they’re built to perform reliably across large orders and repeated use.
Sustainability, Without Compromise
Sustainability is part of that process, but it has to work within the same constraints. It needs to be consistent, accessible, and realistic for everyday business use.
Alongside this vegan certification, we also meet standards like OEKO-TEX, the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and the Organic Content Standard (OCS). Together, they reflect a broader effort to keep materials and production aligned with responsible practices.
What Stays the Same
This certification doesn’t change what we make. It clarifies it.
We’ll keep focusing on the same goal: dependable, print-ready bags that businesses can use at scale, now with an added level of transparency around how they’re made.
